Anchored In Christ

“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few” (Lk 10:2). The reality of the Catholic Church is that the clergy alone could never minister to all the lay faithful, let alone spread the gospel in the surrounding community. Therefore, the laity are called to the New Evangelization, the spreading of the gospel to a world already exposed to Christianity, primarily by ministering to and growing the Body of Christ.

Anchored in Christ takes up this call to evangelization through the formation of a faith-filled Catholic community, rooted in authentic friendships, and focused on the “teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers” (Acts 2:42). To this end we:

–       Host a monthly faith study (3rd Friday at St Joseph Church Basement)

–       Praise and worship as a community in Adoration (1st Friday- rotates Churches, check calendar)

–       Friday night social nights (2nd and 4th Friday, various locations. Join our email list below!)

By living community as an extension of our nuclear families, we strive for holiness and seek to overflow into the world around us, thus building up the Body of Christ and answering the call of our baptism to “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).
